I have known Wade Mitton for the past 10 years running through his significant fibre jointing contribution to the Chorus network. Wade is a very skilled fibre jointer with excellent work ethics and attention to detail. I have had the pleasure of working with Wade in a capacity as a Chorus Delivery Specialist to manage the delivery of business grade customer fibre projects in Auckland with tight delivery times and Wade has always delivered projects on time and within SLA timeframes.
Wade possesses an excellent ability to perform fibre build and restoration tasks from simple to complex fibre jointing work and he also has extensive knowledge on the deployment of wide variety of fibre products and installation techniques.
Wade’s superior fibre skills include efficient use of fibre test tools like optical light sources, power meters, OTDR’s, FIP testers and much more. Working in the Chorus core fibre network, Wade has worked on and has a good understanding of various technologies such as GPON’s Ethernet Switches, DWDM’s and SDH platforms. Other fibre technologies include FTTH, FTTN and Carrier grade networks. All things fibre, Wade has the demonstrated ability and experience to work with traditional or legacy fibre networks to the most recent fixed fibre, air blown fibre and aerial fibre networks.
